The talented Hungarian photographer Serban Tunde(46), born in Transylvania Arad city, has been working in Marbella for quite some time now. She is also the official photographer of i-Marbella! We bring you an interview with Serban to find out more about that intriguing woman.
1. How did you start taking photos? What triggered you?
I was just 17 old when I started. And my mum was photographer, but she never showed me how to do it. She used me as a model all the time, but I was always more curios about making the photos. I had the opportunity to start in school, when I found out there was a photo lab there. I spoke with the teachers to give me the opportunity to use the lab to learn photography.
So this is how I started and then one year later I learned photography in the university for two years, and i finished with the best qualification. When I was 20 I got my first job asa photographer in the town hall marriage section. In the beginning I just did weddings, but after I moved in Spain I also started doing different type of photography - fashion, private parties, products and real estate.
2. Where were you educated?
Besides my 2-year photography degree I also have 5-year economic university Marketing-Management degree.
3. What made you come to Marbella? What do you like here the most besides the climate?
Marbella is a fantastic place. The whether, the people! It is a place where you feel like you’re in never-ending holiday. I think you are lucky just to be here.
4. What do you like about most about your work? What are the downsides?
In my work i love more the creative part, here is included the fashion photography, wedding photography specially the part where we do the special artistic photos with the peoples.
5. What do you like capturing the most? Why?
I love what i do, specially the creative photography. Every day I try to improve my work and make people happy with it. Many people say they are not photogenic, but this is not always true. It is my passion to find the best side in every person. For this you need time, and you need to give the person the possibility to relax and to feel comfortable with you. And then the results will be better than they expected.
6. What are you goals and dreams?
My dream is to make my photos day by day more interesting, to grow until the highest point.
7. Have you worked with any celebrities?
Yes I have worked and i made photos of celebrities and very important families, even royalties. And not just one time. I can’t give out names, since this is something very private. I need to keep the names confidential. But I can name some celebrities, such as Antonio Banderas, Michael Bolton, Neil Gregory, Eva Longoria etc.
