The beautiful and also intelligent Tiara Tian has been running her interior design shop called "Tiara Diseno" in Marbella for already 8 years! i-Marbella spent 10 minutes with her to find out more about this intriguing businesswoman.

1. How did you end up in Marbella? What made you stay here?

I came here for the family business and fell in love with Marbella. Why did I stay? Well most of the people would say because of the weather, which I completely agree with! Of course my business and family as well. 

2. How did you start your own business here? Where else do you have shops?

I started the business Tiara Diseno in Marbella approximately 8 years ago. And I also opened last year a shop in Florida.

3. What have you learned during the time you've your own shop? 

Apart from the obvious day-to-day business practices with clients, suppliers, and staff...I have also learned that, besides the product, good customer service makes all the difference. If you take care of your clients, they will take care of you.

4. Where were you educated? 

I Studied in London for Fashion Make up and Special Effects and then after I studied Interior Design.

5. What does it take to be a successful businesswoman? 

A passion or love for what you do. Loving what you do makes all the difference. Then, comes Hard work and perseverance. Never give up on your dreams. 

6. How has the crisis affected your business? 

People are being more careful with their spending and it's understandable given the current economic climate. But we have our loyal clients and in my humble opinion we offer very good customer service and after sales care. Not to mention the incredibly affordable prices we have in-store!  :) 

7. What do you consider to be your biggest accomplishment so far? 

Having created a well-balanced harmony between Work and Family. The two most important things in my life. I dedicate most my time to my adorable husband and my growing business.

8. What are you ambitions? 

I LOVE baking and preparing food for people...I have always enjoyed entertaining my friends or family at home. Gathering around a big dinner table with friends and lots of delicious food is one of the best things in life. I would like to start something that involves me being around food all the time. I'm a food enthusiast. Love many different tasted and love experimenting with flavours. Stay tuned! ;)

9. What are your other passions in life?

Cooking and baking. It really relaxes me.

10. How do you spend your free time in Marbella? 

With family and friends.
