The Lovely Wedding of Xusan Teo and Wolfgang Schleisler in Marbella
07-12-2011 Comments (1)The lovely couple Xusan Teo and Wolfgang Schleisler, the owner of Casa Marbella realty, have been together for four years and last weekend they got married! Actually they were officially married on the 9th of November in Singapore and had already celebrated the wedding dinner with family and friends at The Tower Club. But they celebrated their love union once again amongst their friends in Marbella! Xusan Teo, the beautiful bride, told i-Marbella more about the beautiful event!
1. Where was the reception and why did you choose that place?
It was held at our friend’s villa in Cascada de Camojan and we have chosen that villa because it is a perfect place to held an event like this and very comfortable when you want to invite many guests.
2. How long have you two been to together? And how did you meet?
We have been together for 4 years and were engaged. We were both married before for 18 years and then divorced, and one day our common friend Lani from Thai Gallery restaurant introduced us, sort of a blind date. I told her I was not ready for a relationship but she insisted and saying that “ …but this one you have too meet”, so I said to myself, since she highly recommended so why not give it a try. Since Lani knew him well, at least he has been “ scanned” and must be good or else she would not recommend him to me and I can skip all the first dates. Whereas Wolfgang received a surprised call from Lani while he was having a meeting in Madrid, she said “ Wolfgang, I have a nice lady with two sons for you!”!
3. What do you love most about Wolfgang?
He is a very authentic person; honest, sweet and sincere!
4. What does marriage mean to you?
Marriage means commitment. One should be ready and be prepared to live with your partner the rest of your life. As there are no 100% perfect people or marriage and when there is any problem, both should also be to handle it and solved it in a mature manner and not to give up immediately. Marriage is work, and when you can manage that, you will survive your marriage and live happily forever after.
5. How did Wolfgang propose to you?
One day he came with the ring and said in order to prove his sincerity and he meant it and want to spend the rest of his life with me.
6. Who planned the wedding? What kind of entertainment did you have?
I planned the whole wedding myself and our way, even the catering. We were so lucky to have family and friends who offered help and everything went very well and no stress. We want something different, private and personal, all among family and close friends. The guests attended were really there for us on this special night, we are very honoured especially to friends who even changed their travels and plans in order to be there for us. We really felt so happy and received so much love and warm thoughts from them. The evening was well entertained by our friends; Sandi Davidson who sabered a bottle of champagne, Alia and Christian performing some amazing dance, Sven sang us a song while we have our first dance, a professional Magician who entertained all the guests with his incredible performance. Of course a night like this we need changing of music, so we hired Dom the DJ as well as Rebecca who did the video for us.
7. Where and how will you spend your honeymoon?
Actually, we were officially married on the 9th of November in Singapore and had already celebrated our first wedding dinner with family and friends at The Tower Club. We spent our honeymoon in Phuket, Thailand. Our friend offered us her luxury villa and we have spent a fantastic 5 days in Phuket. After that, we went to China; Shanghai and Nanjing. It was an amazing experience.
8. Did you imagine your wedding to be like this when you were little? If not, then how was it different?
No, I was used to some traditional Chinese weddings when I was little. However, Singapore was already a very modern city and it is a city that constantly moving forward with the time, so during my first 20 years in Singapore, marriages were already held in hotel ballrooms. The Chinese usually have very big families and plus friends of theirs, 300-500 guests from both families are very normal at Wedding dinners. I had been through that before, I was married to a Dutch man and had our wedding dinner in the ballroom of the Sheraton hotel in Singapore; from the groom side only a hand full coming from Holland while 250 other guests coming from my side! So with this second marriage, we managed to celebrate in Singapore only with our closest family and friends in the exclusive Tower Club, thanks to my best Dutch friends, Melinda and Erik Klanderman, who are now living in Singapore and also members of the Tower Club. So, for Marbella family and friends, we threw a second wedding reception. Without all the helping hands from many family and friends we wouldn’t have such stress free wedding parties! We consider ourselves so lucky to know that we are so much loved by them, it is really a great feeling and that really make us the happiest newly wed couple!
