San Juan at Trocadero Arena, Marbella
24-06-2012San Juan is celebrated with bonfires on the beach, lasting all night through the night of the 23rd. i-Marbella spent San Juan almost in safari, at Trocadero Arena!
On the night of 23rd of June, Trocadero Arena invited everybody to join them for their first magical night of San Juan which also marked the true beginning of summer! Before the show all the guests enjoyed the football game between Spain and France that ended in 2-0!
Before the bonfire at midnight people had dinner and enjoyed a real Flamenco show! At midnight everyone rushed into the sea to symbolise the baptisms by John the Baptist. The theory is that you wash your feet in the sea to cleanse your sins. There is also the tradition of jumping the bonfire, to burn away your sins. And also you had to throw the paper with negative things in the fire and the piece of paper with all the good things in the water!
