Marbella Luxury Weekend Press Conference took place on the 23rd of May in Gomez & Molina.
A full overview of the upcoming events during the Marbella Luxury Weekend was given at the press conference. The II edition of Marbella Luxury Weekend will be held in Puerto Banús for four days, from the 31st of May till the 3rd of June, 2012. The press conference took place on the 14th of May in Puerto Banús.This initiative was launched by the Department of Tourism of the Municipality of Marbella last year. Following the success of this first edition dedicated to luxury, Marbella Luxury Weekend consolidates Puerto Banús as the global epicenter of high-end brands. The aim is to make Puerto Banús a display for the world for a weekend, which will show the most important proposals of the luxury sector at all levels: fashion, restaurants, jewelry, motor.
Marbella Luxury Weekend is the perfect platform for the various luxury brands to reveal their charm. Like last year, Marbella Luxury Weekend will be closely linked tothe world of fashion, jewelry and gastronomy with exclusive presentations of the latest collections. Each of the participating firms will perform ad hoc events for VIP customers and guests inwhich particularity, originality and exclusivity are the main themes.
The meeting points will again be the two tents set up at each end of the port, becoming the perfect places for these exclusive activities. The grand opening party, private meetings, tastings… will take place in these two tents. A novelty to this edition is the First Zagaleta Forum, Brands and Trends, which will bring together different voices from the world of luxury that will provide their views on the market from different perspectives. CARS & ARTS LUXURY SHOW
Within the Cars & Arts Luxury Show showground, Grupo Guarnieri has put together the effort to bring in exclusivity for this Marbella Luxury Weekend the ‘Coleccion Gómez’, an exhibition composed of 24 911 GT2 Porches, in charge by the Argentinean collector Jorge Gomez who has ordered 19 plastic artists to work on them as if they were canvasses. A perfect and surprising mix between art and engines that will most definitely leave no oneindifferent. Ascari Race Resort will dispose of a demonstration of some of the most exclusive and spectacular models in the world. An impressive F1 Ferrari, piloted in the F1 World Championships of 95 by Gerhard Berger and Jean Alesi, of which there are only three in the world, will be on the the stars of this top of the line engine display. Furthermore, two Two-seater 24 Hour from LeMans and various Ascari models (LMP900, A10, KZ1-R, KZ1-GT3), genuine wheel jewels, may be seen during the II Marbella Luxury Weekend celebration.
I FORUM LA ZAGALETA, BRANDS & TRENDS
Marbella Luxury Weekend will feature “I La Zagaleta Forum Brands & Trends” that will take place on June 1st and 2nd at the Convention Centre in Marbella. Throughout the two days, managers of L’Oreal, Skype, Starwood Hotels, UBS, Meliá Hoteles, KPMG, Tiffany & Co., Inditex and others will participate in various roundtables to provide their insight in strategy, business and marketing in the areas of catering, services, leisure, luxury, technology and fashion/textile. Among the list of confirmed guests we can find names such as Henry Fisker (founder of FISKER Automotive) Andrea Corsetti (Retail Manager of Tiffany & co. Spain), Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros (Vicepresidente of Inditex), Ladislao Azcona (Vicepresident Meliá Castilla and Founder of Tecnocom), Teresa Sapey (Architect), Antonio Seward (President of Audemars Piguet, Spain and France) or Princess Béatrice d’Orléans (Honorary President of the Spanish Association of Luxury).
