A Cultural Melange
20,000 people visited the event last year and this year’s festival proved to be even more popular. With an ever more enticing programme of entertainment, the new Buddha Bar Chillout Lounge area, a gourmet food corner, a media centre, an exhibition of retro furniture from the 50’s and 60’s and much more, the festival which was fully supported by the Tourism Council of Marbella Town Hall, comprised a dynamic street festival bringing the centre of town to life in an explosion of colourful art, music and performances over three days. In the centre of Marbella, between the quaint Old Town and the Paseo Marítimo, artists displayed their works in an attractive line up of individual white tents. Sprawling down the Alameda and the Avenida del Mar in the heart.
With artistic styles ranging from impressionism, to hyperrealism, in every media from painting, photography and sculpture to digital art, the festival was a mesmerizing showcase of artistic and cultural diversity. The event kicked off with a VIP inaugural cocktail party on Thursday 23rd June.
