Foreign Tourist Office to open in Malaga
29-04-2012Interior Minister Jorge Fernandez Diaz, the president of the Costa del Sol Tourism Office, Elias Bendodo, and Malaga Mayor Francisco de la Torre agreed last week to implement an agreement to open the Foreign Tourist Attention Office originally announced in 2010.
The office will be in the Plaza de la Marina, in the city’s historic centre. In the summer it will be open from 9 am to 8 pm and from 9 am to 6 pm in the winter. Its staff will speak at least five languages and a Local policeman and a National policeman will be permanently on hand to help tourists who have been the victims of petty crime. A City Hall spokesman said the office was expected to open in three weeks time.
