Like every year, the famous actor is spending Easter holiday in his home town Malaga, Andalucia.

Antonio Banderas is at the moment on the Costa del Sol to take part in the Holy Week processions and he is also devotee of his brotherhood, La Virgen de las Lágrimas y Favores.

The actor has revealed that after the holiday he will be working on a film about the painter Pablo Picasso, directed by Carlos Saura. The movie tells the story of the creation of his work, ‘Guenica’. The shooting will start in Paris at the end of August or in September, and some scenes will also be shot in Málaga and of course Guernica.

Banderas told the journalists in Málaga that the project had an emotional component for him, because Picasso was also from Málaga like him. "I’ll try to represent this personality of our land who conquered so much in artistic fields, that it would be very difficult for anyone to do more. He was probably the most important modern artist in the 20th Century, and possibly in the history of Art", said Banderas.
