Microsoft co-founder's yacht in Malaga port
The billionaire Paul Allen, who is the Microsoft co-founder, is carrying out maintenance on the "Tatoosh" in Malaga.
"Tatoosh" is the smaller of Paul's two yachts and it has been at Quay 2 of Malaga Port for several weeks already. That will cost him for mooring alone €1,000 per day. The 92-metre yacht has two helipads, 25 crew-members of several nationalities, but he is probably not there himself. The crew of "Tatoosh" is carrying out tasks on board, and several mechanics, carpenters and upholsterers have been hired to get the engines and décor in shape.
His yacht is considered to be the 38th largest superyacht in the world. "Tatoosh" and has one main cabin and a further nine for guests, two cabins for the crew, cinema, pool, and also two lounges. It was originally built for mobile phone magnate Craig McCaw, but was purchased by Paul Allen in 2001. The cost of the beauty was $100 million.
How many water wells could you dig in africa for that kind of money. It's true to say wahat he does with his money is his business, but, it's what he doesn't do is what he should be remembered for.
