On the 20th of March Marbella Club hosted the presentation of "Marbella Club Spring Games"

”Marbella Club Spring Games” is an annual charity event which consists in a unique sports competition that takes places in Marbella and its surroundings on april 19/20 2012 Funds raised are donated to “Asociación de Ayuda Contra el Cáncer” and “Fundación Deporte y Desafío” (www.deporteydesafio.com)

28 participants will compete during one whole day in: Alpine skiing, Motorsports, Golf, Clay Pigeon shooting, waterski and Paddle Tennis. Participants must have breakfast and dinner at the Marbella Club Hotel at a specific time. Sports will be held at Sierra Nevada (Granada), Ascari Race Resort (Ronda), Marbella Club Golf Resort (Benahavis), Hotel Puente Romano Beach and Puente Romano Tennis Club (Marbella). Prizes and trophies will be given to the winners the day after, during a charity luncheon party at the Marbella Club Hotel. A raffle, as well as an auction conducted by Sotheby´s, will be organized to increase the funds raised for charity.

The initial idea comes from the sixties, when Prince Alfonso zu Hohenlohe wanted to promote his Marbella Club Hotel by showing all sports his guests could do in one single day.

Fifty years later, finally this genious idea, which had never been accomplished, becomes reality proving to be, in just two editions, a “Marbella classic” in addition to a profitable event in terms of funds raised and exposure for international luxury brands.
