10 Minutes with Singer Ralla Zacher
17-01-2011 Comments (7)Singer Ralla Zacher(30) came from Germany to work as an au pair seven years ago, but ended up singing and enjoying life in Marbella! i-Marbella found out more about the beautiful Ralla.
1. What brought you to Marbella?
In 2004 I came to Marbella to work as an Au Pair and I didn't have a clue what Marbella was about(laughs). I had a few offers from different families to work for, but I just had a quick look on the map and choose Marbella, as it was most in the south!
2. What do you like about Marbella the most?
I like the climate, the sunshine and also the metropolitan people who live here.
3. Did you always know you wanted to be a singer? If you weren't a singer, then what would you be?
I've been singing nearly all my life. I've never asked myself that question, I think it just happened. If I weren't a singer I might be a baseball coach or an art teacher for kids. But actually I am also communications and graphic designer, besides my singing career.
4. What do you consider to be your biggest accomplishment so far?
Singing together with Placido Domingo on TV and taking part and winning silver with the European Band Contest.
5. What kind of ambitions do you have?
I would like to make an album and when the time is right also a TV show in Germany.
6. What is your advice to young singers to make it in the entertainment business?
Stay realistic and don’t live in illusion! The music business is a tough business. Go and study something "real" and with a future. If you fail with music you can always go back to what you learned. Apart from that, learn an instrument, get a vocal coach or sing in a choir. These days you have lots of opportunities to present your talent in casting shows. My personal resume: To be at the right time at the right place and contacts are everything
7. What kind of hobbies do you have? How do you spend your free time?
I like to spend most of my free time outdoors, with friends, or doing sports like running on the beach or baseball. Also I'm doing a lot of arts or composing music.
8. Do you have any favorite places to go out to eat/dance/have fun in Marbella?
I like Da Pinxo in Marbella, Da Bruno, Los Bandidos, Trocadero, Finca Besaya & Suite.
9. What is your motto in life?
Actually I have two: Life isn't about fitting in, it's about standing out!!And whatever doesn't kill you can only make you stronger.
10. If you could change one thing in your life what would it be?
Never to worry about money! ;-)

My great uncle had a stroke that left him a drooling vegetable. Tell him what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!
