Ose del Sol(47) from Grupo Artenovum is one of the most prominent new Spanish artists of this century. All his paintings are reflecting his immense knowledge of styles and refined taste. He is not only investigating the most diverse cultural periods like the Classical Antiquity, Renaissance or Mannerism but also showing his very special personal interpretation of ancient Southern Spanish culture and modern art. Ose del Sol´s representations of antique sculptures look mysterious and sometimes dramatic but amazingly real, and his landscapes, architectonic views and ornaments are a pure invitation to stay and enjoy the beauty.

1. Why did you come to Marbella and what made you stay here?

I came to Marbella, because really liked it here, and I have now been here for almost 20 years. I stayed due to the Cosmopolitan atmosphere, the climate, the natural surroundings and I like the sensation of living in a place with the "Holiday feeling" that I sense every day.

2. Where were you educated? 

My studies have always been in the creative part of the educational system. And regarding the field of paitings I am a selflearned painter.

3. When did you discover your passion for arts?

Right from my first breath, my parents always said that I was born with a paint brush in my hand.

4. Could you tell us some more about your work?

As I am a very creative person my paintings are very different and varied, and are not limited to just one style. I enjoy to create and implement new projects, but all my paintings reflects my personality and love for the art.

5. What are you working on at the moment?

I always have new projects going on. The last project is the collection "Humano", that I will be presenting in the Restautant Sol i Luna, where the opening cocktail will be on the 20th of April, and the paintings will be there until mid June. And right now I am preparing drafts for a new fascinating collection.

6. What or who inspires you? Where do you get fresh ideas?

I get inspiration from all the artists who are creating beauty, my first source of inspiration was Leonardo Da Vinci. My new ideas are born in a mixture of everything that I have ever learned, and influenced of the present.

7. What famous artists have influenced you, and how?

Famous artist of the Italian Renaissance period. From the 18th and 19 th century English and French artist and the realism from the present. I intend to capture the atmosphere, beauty and perfection and after that using this in my paintings.

8. What do you consider to be your biggest accomplishment so far?

My biggest acomplishment up until now, has been to create an timeless art form, personal and outside the mainstream trend of fashion. An artform that is searching for the visual pleasure.

9. What are your ambitions and plans for the future?

My ambitions are, to continue create works of art and to life from and for the art.

10. How do you spend your free time?

Well I like to enjoy the sea, the company of friends and aquantainces and I continue to study to adapt the new technologies to my artistic creations.
