Looking for inspiring Christmas presents....? Then head down to Passion Café this weekend to meet author Robert Tenison and photographer Gary Edwards... and enjoy cava and chocolates for CUDECA... Report: Louise Cook Edwards
Source.... http://marbellas.com
Type: Art
Starts: 06-12-2009
Ends: 06-12-2009
Location: Passion Cafe, San Pedro, Marbella

Talent is the common denominator of an event taking place on Sunday 6th December at the popular Passion Café in San Pedro.... Author Robert Tenison will be signing copies of his Costa del Sol crime thriller, Deadly Secrets, while top photographer Gary Edwards will be launching an exhibition of his "Collectables" which will run in the restaurant until the end of the year.
The talented twosome hope to sell plenty of their work - perfect Christmas present material - while at the same time raise some much needed money for CUDECA cancer care hospice - as 10% of everything sold will be donated to the charity, one of the closest to the hearts of many Costa residents whose lives have been touched in some way by cancer.
Gary Edwards Collectables
Gary will be showing and selling a selection of his latest "Collectables", an alluring series of images which have been created specifically as design and decor friendly photographs to hang on a wall. Framed in small and medium sizes, many of the attractive photographs on view feature abstractions of life which evoke a feeling, a memory or an emotive moment. Along with the feel-good factor, you will be buying a signed, stamped and authenticated limited edition work, with an affordable price tag - making a unique Christmas gift. As Gary says, they are like "chocolatinas" delectable bite-sized pieces of art to be savoured and enjoyed as a special treat.." so it is fitting that guests at Sunday's event will be treated to chocolate and cava.
With a twenty year career in photography, Gary's work has featured in top publications and books around Europe, and he has held many collective and individual exhibitions.
Robert Tenison's Deadly Secrets
This novel was published recently by Chiringuito Books, and is a first book for multi-faceted author Robert Tenison. Addressing the controversial, and topical subjects of corruption, money-laundering and fraud in Spain, Deadly Secrets has received favourable reviews from fellow authors and book lovers alike. Hailed as a page turner, the book's action takes place in the fictional town of "Los Cipreses" in southern Spain, as well as Madrid, London, Seville and the Cayman Islands. Centred around Andy Montalvo, who comes to Spain to investigate the death of his old friend Mike Cameron, the plot takes twists and turns around the ensuing murders and mayhem.
With 25 years experience in business and investment banking, Robert Tenison has enough first hand experience of the Spanish system to fill several books. An Anglo-Spaniard, born of Spanish parents and educated in Britain, Robert brings great insight into the Spanish culture to this, his first taste of professional writing. Although entirely ficitional, Deadly Secrets addresses the realities of institutionalized corruption and money laundering techniques used throughout the world. "A slick and well written novel" says Kitty Sewell, best selling author of Ice Trap.
Want to read it for yourself? Well now is your chance to buy a signed copy and meet the author along with Gary Edwards - while helping CUDECA.
